~Evin Galang~

Evin stumbled upon Lindy Hop in 1997 in Chicago, trying to avoid a pick-up artist. She quickly knew that - while not so taken with the pick up - she was hopelessly addicted to Lindy!  She will be forever grateful to that mystery man for giving her the excuse to find the love of dance. Two years later, she discovered Blues dancing and immediately fell in love with its free, yet connected movement. Dancing every night of the week soon parlayed into teaching, performing and competing.  Evin has now been teaching Lindy Hop and Blues Dance around the United States and Europe for over 10 years.  Evin's dancing combines the classic movement of Lindy Hop, rock solid technique, grace, musicality, and a healthy dose of humor.  Her fresh, dynamic approach to dancing and teaching keeps her students both engaged and entertained. When she's not on the dance floor, Evin is thinking up new words to songs she already knows.  That, and contemplating what the consequences would have been, had the pick up artist been a better blues dancer...
